Thanks so much, No Depression, for the kind words on William Matheny's newest 14-song EP, Moon Over Kenova. We think it kicks ass, too.
"Moon Over Kenova" is a humbling song for any songwriter. It's not so much the content as the fact that Matheny makes a song like that seem as effortless as a flick of the wrist.
"While the EP repeats a few songs, you won't realize that. As assured a songwriter as Matheny is, he's also a heck of a bandleader. By providing a few recordings of the same songs, we can see how Matheny and his band can paint entirely different emotional palates with the same lyrics."

Thank you for the kind words on our boys Bennett Wales & The Relief, The Jamwich!
"They played a refreshing style of blues melded rock & roll, laced with a kind of Muscle Shoals vibe all while combining melody and funk. Wales’ voice is not to be tangled with, and they were the perfect wake up for a large looming day of heavy jams."
